    Description: This volume examines the linguistic dimension of vigilance in different contexts. The focus is on the social potentials, normative and regulative effects of languages as well as their use for marking dangers and orienting attention. Wenn in der russischen Literatur des 19.     Description: Gesellschaften mit starker Einwanderung kennzeichnen vielfältige Formen von Identitätsbildung und das Ringen um politische und zivilgesellschaftliche Partizipation. Dies gilt in besonderer Weise für Luxemburg im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert. Hier entstand in einem Kleinstaat eine der jüngeren Nationen Europas und zugleich eine besonders offene, plurikulturelle Einwanderungsgesellschaft. Ziel dieses Bandes ist es, die Entstehung dieser Mehr-Kulturen-Gesellschaft im europäischen Zusammenhang zu verstehen. Die einzelnen Beiträge analysieren mit Hilfe unterschiedlicher sozial- und kulturwissenschaftlicher Annäherungen exemplarische Konfliktlinien der Identitätsbildung und des Kampfes um Partizipation.

Dem bildlichen Ausdruck als Interpretationseinheit, seinem Inhalt und seiner Stellung im Kontext soll das Hauptaugenmerk der vorliegenden Arbeit gelten. Denn die Art und Weise, wie Marlinskij bestimmte Sachverhalte neu und überraschend benennt, läßt Rückschlüsse auf sein Verhältnis zur Welt und seine persönliche Sicht der Dinge zu. Die durch den Autor vorgenommenen subjektiven Neuzuweisungen von Bezeichnungen und Begriffen lassen den Leser einen tiefen Einblick in die Gedankenwelt des Dichters tun und zu den verborgenen Ebenen seines dichterischen Werkes vorstoßen.

    Description: The present study would like to close at least some of the previous gaps in a concise overview, which is why also previously overlooked seemingly marginal areas of the literature of the belles lettres and the hymn. It confines itself to the presentation of the direct journalistic effects of the literature exchange in the form of translations and literary criticism, thus for example dispensing with the inclusion of correspondence already printed in part anyway.
    Description: Die vorliegende Untersuchung möchte nun in einem wenngleich gedrängten Überblick zumindest einige der bisherigen Lücken schließen, weshalb auch bisher weniger beachtete scheinbare Randgebiete der schöngeistigen Literatur und das Kirchenlied. Sie beschränkt sich dabei auf die Darstellung der unmittelbaren publizistischen Auswirkungen des Literaturaustausches in Form von Übersetzungen und Literaturkritik, verzichtet also etwa auf die Einbeziehung von ohnehin nur in Teilen gedruckt vorliegenden Korrespondenzen.

    Description: Vorliegende Arbeit, die 1959 der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität München als Dissertation eingereicht wurde, versucht erstmals in deutscher Sprache einen umfassenden Überblick über das Schaffen des weißruthenischen Nationaldichters Janka Kupała zu geben. Um den Nachweis zu führen, wie tief Kupałas dichterisches Werk in seinem Volkstum verwurzelt ist, wurde auf die Darstellung der volkskundlichen und volkstümlichen Elemente in seinem Werk besonderer Nachdruck gelegt.

    Description: This edited volume examines the forms and functions of the interaction between hand writing and print culture in the period ca. 1500 to 1800. Handwritten interventions into printed books interrupt the text fixed in print by commenting on it, correcting it, or expanding it. They point to changing contexts of use, the flexibilization of supposedly static concepts of authorship, and the dynamics of correction processes.
