Beschreibung: A redescription of Zetorchestes saltator Oudemans, 1915 is given. In addition to that, two new Zetorchestes-species from New Guinea (Z. novaguineanus spec. nov., Z. vanderhammeni spec. nov.) and one new species from Japan (Z. aokii spec. nov.) are described in this paper. These four and some other similar species are compared in table 1. In the redescription and the descriptions attention is paid to the intraspecific morphological variability of body size, the shape of the anterior edge of the lamella, the position of the notogastric hair la, the number of the notogastric hairs, the number and position of the genital, anal and adanal hairs, and the shape of the edge of the lamella on femur II.\nIt seems likely that the Zetorchestes-species from New Guinea prefer different ecological conditions. Zetorchestes saltator is the most widespread species. It lives in lowland swamp forests, in forests on limestone as well as in forests on serpentine and cristalline schists. Zetorchestes novaguineanus can mainly be found in soils of the forests on limestone. The occurrence of Z. vanderhammeni is limited to narrow beach forests growing on consolidated sand ridges.\nThe taxonomic use of the subgenus Phyllorchestes Mahunka, 1983 is seen from a critical point of view.

Beschreibung: Two species from Sagar Island, India are reported: Nitocra lacustris lacustris (Schmankevitsch, 1875) and Enhydrosoma vervoorti spec. nov. The latter is described and illustrated. Furthermore, the genus Enhydrosoma is discussed and Enhydrosoma franklini Thistle, 1980 is allocated to the genus Enhydrosomella Monard.

Beschreibung: This paper gives a description of Zetorchestes grandjeani spec. nov.; it is identical with those animals which are called "l\'esp\xc3\xa8ce de Pise" by Grandjean (1951). \xce\x96. grandjeani differs from \xce\x96. flabrarius Grandjean, 1951 and from Z. falzonii Coggi, 1898 in showing a reduction of hairs in the posterior area of the notogaster, interlamellar hairs of medium length, only one pair of adanal hairs and a difference in the microsculpture of the cerotegument. This species moreover differs from Z. falzonii in the following characters: the presence of the notogastric hair c1, only slightly developed cuticula-wrinkles, and the nearly complete absence of these wrinkles in the anogenital region; there are two little indentations on the border of the rostrum. In contrast to Z. flabrarius the species Z. grandjeani has a slender sensillus and one hair on trochanter IV (table 1). Besides there is an intraspecific morphological variability in: body size, width of the sensillus-club, length of each lyrifissure on the notogaster, the number of the notogastric, genital and anal hairs, the shape of the fringe of the lamella on femur II, the diameter of the hairs pv\', pv" and s on the tarsus of leg III, and also the diameter of the hair s on the tarsus of leg IV.\nUntil now the new species has been found in Italy, France, Spain, Yugoslavia and Greece. Further finds of Z. flabrarius and of Z. falzonii are made known and the distribution of these species is discussed.

Beschreibung: Radfordia (Radfordia) daltoni spec. nov. ex Praomys (Myomyscus) daltoni is illustrated, described in detail, and compared with the related species Radfordia (R.) praomys Zumpt & Coffee, 1977, ex Praomys (Mastomys) natalensis (A. Smith, 1834) from South Africa, and Radfordia (R.) praomys trifurcata Fain, 1973, from the same host species from Ivory Coast.\nG.Scheperboer & F. S. Beschreibung: Our knowledge concerning taxonomy and zoogeography of the fossil and recent species of the helicid genus Theba is summarized and enlarged. The fossil T. arinagae spec. nov. is described from Gran Canaria. The recent T. andalusica spec. nov. and T. sacchii spec. nov. are described from the southernmost part of the Iberian peninsula and the southernmost part of Morocco, respectively. This implies that four fossil and ten recent Theba species are recognized. Two of the fossil species are very insufficiently known. Some recent species are polytypic, which results in 17 (sub)specific taxa in total. Neotypes are selected for T. subdentata legionaria and T. solimae. The nominate subspecies of T. pisana is shown to be aberrant because of its very wide range; the other Theba (sub)species have much smaller ranges, situated in W. Morocco, Western Sahara, the southernmost part of the Iberian peninsula and some Atlantic islands.
