Es wird ein theoretisches Erklärungsmodell vorgestellt, anhand dessen sich partnerschaftliches generatives Handeln bei vorliegender Infertilität aus dezidiert sozialwissenschaftlicher Perspektive analysieren lässt. Dieses bildet die Grundlage für die empirische Untersuchung. Als Basis für die Analysen werden die Daten einer eigens durchgeführten Befragung von Paaren in Kinderwunschbehandlung verwendet.

It turns out that the way the families interviewed deal with poverty depends on a multitude of interwoven biographical structural aspects.
    Description: Die Untersuchung widmet sich der Frage, wie sich die Biografien von Menschen gestalten, deren Familien über Generationen hinweg in Armut verbleiben. Dazu gibt sie detaillierte Einblicke in das Leben von Familien im ALG II-Bezug und spürt rekonstruktiv den individuellen Zusammenhängen der sozialen Reproduktion von Armut nach. Es zeigt sich, dass die Art und Weise wie die interviewten Familien mit Armut umgehen von einer Vielzahl miteinander verwobener biografischer Strukturaspekt abhängig ist.

    Description: Using virtue as an example, the study provides an insight into the normative and subjective orientations of young people in their everyday school context. The concept of virtue in previous educational debates is juxtaposed with a perspective that incorporates the students' point of view: In contrast to the normatively used concept of virtue, the present findings present virtue of honesty as an ambivalent behavior that is situation-, context- and person-dependent. Since ancient Greece, virtues have been a central theme of pedagogy. Educational philosophers have repeatedly developed catalogues of virtues which they assumed could guide practical education. The present work asks how young people adapt to educational demands and undermine them to their own advantage. The question is pursued using the example of school-relevant virtue honesty by interviewing 16 young people in the school context using problem-centred interviews. The results of the study refer to explicit and implicit rules of honesty, which can be divided into conventional and unconventional rules.

Gerade im mehrgliedrigen Schulsystem Österreichs zeigen sich an diesen Übergängen vielfältige Exklusionsmechanismen. In der vorliegenden Forschungsarbeit geht der Autor der Frage nach, welche Habitusformationen bei einem Übertritt von der Mittelschule in die gymnasiale Oberstufe rekonstruiert werden können und was die Ergebnisse für eine inklusive und ungleichheitsreflexive Schul- und Unterrichtsentwicklung leisten können. Hierfür führte der Autor eine qualitative Interviewstudie mit ehemaligen Mittelschüler*innen in Österreich, 12 Wochen nach ihrem Übertritt, durch.

Mirjam Steffensky, Yvonne Anders, Julia Barenthien, Ilonca Hardy, Miriam Leuchter, Elisa Oppermann, Päivi Taskinen und Tobias Ziegler untersuchten die Wirkungen naturwissenschaftlicher Bildungsangebote auf die kognitiven und motivationalen Kompetenzen von pädagogischen Fachkräften und Kindern in Kitas. Insgesamt konnte aufgezeigt werden, dass die Teilnahme an naturwissenschaftlichen Fortbildungen in einem positiven Zusammenhang mit den naturwissenschaftlichen professionellen Kompetenzen pädagogischer Fachkräfte stehen und dass Kinder aus Einrichtungen mit einem expliziten naturwissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkt höhere Lernfreude und höheres Selbstvertrauen in Bezug auf Naturwissenschaften zeigen als Kinder in Einrichtungen ohne naturwissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkt. Astrid Rank, Anja Wildemann, Sabina Pauen, Andreas Hartinger, Sabrina Tietze und Rahel Kästner untersuchten die Interaktionsqualität und mögliche sprachliche Bildungswirkungen im Kontext naturwissenschaftlicher Bildungsangebote bei Vorschulkindern. Die Studie legt nahe, dass naturwissenschaftliche Fortbildungen die naturwissenschaftlichen Kompetenzen wie auch den Spracherwerb der Kinder unterstützen und die Prozessqualität der Fachkräfte in naturwissenschaftsbezogenen Situationen bestimmen können. Das Schlusskapitel des Bandes beschreibt die Umsetzung der wissenschaftlichen Empfehlungen in den inhaltlichen Angeboten der Stiftung "Haus der kleinen Forscher" und ihrer fachlichen Weiterentwicklung.

    Description: When family members migrate internationally, it usually means a deep change in the relationships they maintain with each other. The author examines this process in families organized across borders between Ecuador and Spain. In doing so, the effects of the recent economic crisis in the country of arrival are considered in the light of a process of familial change that has lasted several decades. The particular resilience of familial power relations is thereby evaluated as ambivalent.
    Description: Gesellschaftliche Umbrüche bedeuten für Migrierende und ihre Familien eine besondere Herausforderung; zusätzlich zur meist notwendigen Neuaushandlung der Beziehungen nach der Migration eines Familienmitglieds. Die biographisch angelegte Fallstudie untersucht diesen Prozess in grenzübergreifend organisierten ecuadorianischen Familien und schaut besonders auf sich verschiebende Machtbalancen. Die Bedeutung der jüngsten Wirtschaftskrise im Ankunftsland Spanien wird dabei vor dem Hintergrund eines mehrere Jahrzehnte andauernden familialen Wandlungsprozesses erschlossen. Im Ergebnis erweist sich die Krise als weniger einschneidend als zuvor angenommen, wobei die Resilienz familialer Machtverhältnisse als ambivalent bewertet wird.
