Abstract
Murine sarcoma virus (Harvey) produces characteristic changes in cultures of C57BL mouse embryo cells. Some of the cells become spindle-shaped and stain vividly with acridine orange. The transformed cells continuously produce virus in vitro and give tumours on inoculation into adult C57BL mice. The changes are similar to those produced by the Moloney strain of MSV.
