2021, Biochemical PharmacologyCitation Excerpt :Similar to GH and DAPL1 mRNA, maternal TCDD exposure also reduced the pituitary expression of GHRH receptor mRNA from GD18. However, it has been reported that significant response to GHRH in the fetal pituitary gland does not occur until GD19 [37]. Consistent with this, we confirmed that serum GH concentration precipitously increased at GD20, and TCDD effects were simultaneously observed, whereas TCDD attenuated the mRNA expression of GH and the GHRH receptor in fetuses at GD18.
