Abstract

A quark-antiquark potential is introduced which is a relativistic modification of the Richardson potential in the re-elaboration given the Schöberl. It is found that the hyperfine splitting of the spectrum of q-q can be reproduced both for light and heavy quarks in terms of a single scale parameter and the quark masses.
