Room temperature liquid ionization chambers using tetramethylsilane

Abstract

Ionization pulse signals due to 207Bi conversion electrons were observed in ionization chambers filled with tetramethylsilane which was purified by a simple method. Pulse height spectra and its variation with the electric field were measured.
