Abstract

The recent experiment by Acker et al. on the strongly exchange-enhanced paramagnetism of TiBe2 is reanalyzed on the Fermi-liquid model. It is shown that the field against magnetization relation can be described by a simple logarithmic formula which is characteristic of this model. The magnitude of logarithmic terms in temperature- and field-dependent susceptibilities is shown to be consistent with theoretical predictions.
