Abstract

The size dependence of exciton-LO-phonon coupling constant, the Huang-Rhys parameter, is calculated for a spherical semiconductor microcrystallite. It is shown that taking properly the exciton-phonon interaction and valence-band mixing into account in obtaining the exciton wave functions is crucially important in calculating the Huang-Rhys parameter.
