Domains in an asperomagnet: Amorphous DyCu

Abstract

Large Barkhausen jumps in the hysteresis loop of a thin film of amorphous DyCu measured at 100 mK are direct evidence of asperomagnetic (random ferromagnetic) domains containing ∽ 1018 dysprosium atoms.
