A new knowledge of reality

Preparing for the Revolution: Information Technology and the Future of the Research University is a report released in October 2002, produced by the US National Academies, advisors on science, engineering and medicine. The report describes emerging technologies that are reshaping higher education, including the organization, management, governance and finance of universities. Universities must work with stakeholders to anticipate and influence the learning systems of the future. The next phase of the study will organize national channels for dialogue.
