Piperidinomethyl-2-naphthol bildet Einschlußkomplexe mit β-Cyclodextrin mit einer Gleichgewichtskonstante von 265M −1. Das Protontransfer-Gleichgewicht zwischen neutraler Form und zwitterionischer Struktur wird durch diese Assoziation stark beeinflußt.
