Summary
A series of seven new tri(hetero)arylmethanes has been prepared by reduction of the corresponding carbinols using a mixture of lithium aluminium hydride/aluminium trichloride. The yields are excellent (77–98%) except in the case of the tri(2-benzothienyl)derivative (41%).1H NMR spectra are discussed.
