Summary
Certain samples of lead bearing minerals have an affinity toward contamination when prepared for gas source mass spectral analysis. The offending materials have been shown to be silicones. When silicone greases are not allowed during the sample preparation, no contamination is detected.

Gewisse Proben bleihältiger Minerale neigen zur Aufnahme von Verunreinigungen während der Vergasung zur massenspektrographischen Analyse. Die störenden Substanzen wurden als Silicone erkannt. Wird kein siliconhältiges Hahnfett verwendet, so sind auch keine Verunreinigungen nachzuweisen.
Résumé
Certains échantillons de minéraux contenant du plomb ont tendance à se trouver contaminés quand ils sont préparés pour l'analyse par spectrographie de masse avec source gazeuse. On a montré que les matériaux gênants étaient des silicones. Lorsque l'on n'utilise pas les graisses aux silicones pendant la préparation de l'échantillon, aucune contamination n'est décelée.
