Goulds Name (Birds of Europe 1837) kann gut gebraucht werden, da sowohl die Beschreibung als auch die Abbildung (pl. 236) genau auf die westsibirischen Vögel paßt: „It is rather smaller in size than the common species (Sitta europaea) and is much lighter in the general tone of its colouring.“
Suschkin [313] führt für den südlichen Altaitianschanicus an. Ich habe aber seine Exemplare verglichen — es sind regelrechteyenisseensis, dieSuschkin nicht als Form anerkannte. Auch im Saissangebiet nistenyenissensisartige Zwischenformen.
