A measurement of theD 0 lifetime

Abstract

We have determined theD 0 lifetime from reconstructed vertices ofD 0 mesons produced ine + e annihilations at an average center of mass energy of 42.2 GeV. From fifteen events theD 0 lifetime was determined to be (4.3 +2.0−1.4 ±0.8)×10−13s.
