Stability of poly(A)+RNA in nucleate and anucleate cells of Acetabularia

Abstract

The stability of poly(A)+RNA was compared in nucleate and anucleate cells of Acetabularia. While in the absence of the nucleus poly(A)+RNA exhibits a pronounced stability, it is significantly less stable in the presence of the nucleus.
