The Hardy Weinberg test — A correction

Abstract

When the Hardy Weinberg ratios of m isoalleles are tested using the χ2 distribution, the correct number of degrees of freedom is 1/2 (m 2-m). The derivation from two definitions of degrees of freedom is given.
