Versuche zur papierchromatographischen Trennung der Phosphornitridchloride

Zusammenfassung

(PNCl₂)₃, (PNCl₂)₄ und (PNCl₂) _x (x>4) lassen sich papierchromatographisch bei Verwendung von Nitrobenzol als stationäre Phase und von wasserhaltigem Methanol als Laufmittel nebeneinander nachweisen. Dagegen gelingt eine Trennung der höheren Homologen (x>4) auf diesem Weg nicht. Phosphornitridchloride spalten bei der Behandlung mit konzentrierter, wäßrig-alkoholischer Ammoniaklösung Chloridionen ab, die mit Silbernitrat-Fluorescein nachgewiesen werden können. Auf diesen Umsetzungen beruht die Identifizierung der Phosphornitridchloride auf den Chromatogrammen.

Summary

(PNCl₂)₃, (PNCl₂)₄ and (PNCl₂) _x x>4) may be separated by paper chromatography using nitrobenzene as the stationary phase, and a mixture of methanol and water as the mobile phase. However, a further separation of the higher homologues is not possible. By the reaction with a concentrated solution of ammonia in a mixture of water and ethanol phosphonitrilic chlorides are decomposed forming chloride ions, which may be detected by the silver nitrate-fluorescein test. Based on these reactions an identification of the different polymers on the chromatograms is performed.
