Summary
Electron microscopical investigations of the flagella of Pseudomonas rhodos reveal a fine structure consisting of a left handed double helix.
In Pseudomonas echinoides cell and flagellum are joined by a pinlike connecting element. Opposite to the flagellum a cluster of fimbriae is polarly inserted in cells of this strain. In stars the cells are held together by the fimbriae.
