On energy independent effective interactions in shell model calculations

Abstract

It is shown, that the use of an energy independent effective interaction in a shell model calculation implies a strongly energy dependent residual interaction and thus a nucleon-nucleon interaction which is strongly energy dependent in the energy region of interest.
