Static polarizability of an exactly solvable model of diatomic molecule

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento D

Summary

A very simple one-dimensional model for a one-electron diatomic molecule, under the influence of a weak static electric field, is investigated by perturbation theory. The dipole polarizabilities for the two only bound states supported by this molecular model are evaluated as a function of the internuclear distance.
