The state of lead in Pt−Pd/Al2O3 reforming catalysts

Abstract

The results of temperature-programmed reduction are consistent with those of chemisorption of O2 and H2. In reduced Pt−Pb/Al2O3, a minor part of lead exists as Pbo in an alloy with Pt. The major part of lead is not reduced and exists as carrier-stabilized PbII surface species.
