Abstract
Bromine was used as activable tracer for the determination of the surface coverage on solids in the (sub-)monomolecular layer range and to study the deposition rate of organic compounds from a solution. The investigation was mainly performed for the calibration of spectroscopic techniques applied in the field of surface modification with organic materials. As examples three typical applications are discussed.
