Conclusions

  1. 1.

A studv was made of the adhesional reaction of unprotected molybdenum specimens with carbidized-, boronized-, and siliconized-molybdenum specimens. It was found that refractory compound coatings applied to molybdenum raise its adhesional reaction temperature by 300 deg C.

  2. 2.

It was established that the lowest values of coefficient of adhesion are obtained for adhesional reaction between unprotected molybdenum and siliconized molybdenum.
