Insectes Sociaux Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Five species of cockroaches were analyzed with respect to their agonistic behavior. Agonistic acts were analyzed using four criteria: characteristics of agonistic acts, intensity, frequency and information transferred. Diagrams were constructed to illustrate the most common sequences of agonistic acts and to compare the types of behavior which characterize the social behavior of different species.
