Summary
The conditions under which Love type ofSH waves can propagate in a non-homogeneous internal stratum of finite depth lying between two semi-infinite isotropic elastic media are considered in this paper. Two types of non-homogeneity have been studied, in one case the rigidity is supposed to vary exponentially with depth while the density remains constant and in the other both rigidity and density are assumed to vary linearly with depth.
