Summary
Experiments with14C-labelled 2,6-Diallyl-phenylallyl-ether (VIII) have shown, that the thermal para-Claisen Rearrangement proceeds through two cyclic transition states, with a cyclo-hexadienon derivative XIV as a discrete intermediate in between.
