Summary

A mutant strain containing acinnabar allele (cnrbr,rojo brillante) is reported, that produces wild-type revertants at thecinnabar (cn) locus. Incnrbr/cn heterozygotes the rate of mutation is highly increased. The presence of a mutator agent acting premeiotically is indicated.
