Abstract

The here presented data set contains time series recording urban seismic noise which was evaluated with MASW to retrieve a shear wave velocity model for subsurface characterization. Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology was used to acquire the seismic data in strain-rate unit along an 11-km long telecommunication fiber optic cable which runs parallel to a major road in Berlin, Germany. The original DAS data was recorded at the sampling frequency of 1000 Hz using iDAS Silixa Interrogator Unit with a gauge length of 10 m and a channel spacing of 8 m for the duration of 15 days form 5th of April 2021 to 20th April 2021.
