Abstract

A new species, Paterula (?) vasilievae, from the Frasnian of the Volga–Ural and Timan–Pechora regions is described. The species has weakly convex valves, a protegulum on both valves, and a ventral pseudoarea. The shell microstructure has been studied on both valves at different age stages.
