Molecular and Genetic Aspects of Human Blood-group Leb Specificity

Abstract

Chemical characterization of Leb-active fragments isolated from alkaline degradation products of human blood-group HLeb substance supports the idea that Leb specificity results from the action of two genes. These are H and Le, and they belong to independent blood-group gene systems, Hh and Lele.
