Abstract

An improved form of thermoregulator, having a large surface/volume ratio of toluene bulb, and a mercury seal at either end, is described. A circuit employing a pentode valve is used in conjunction with a relay to reduce sparking at the mercury surface to a minimum. A waterbath at ordinary temperatures can readily be maintained constant to within 0.01° C.
