Abstract
Theoretical Compton profiles for NaF and MgO crystals have been calculated in the MO-LCAO approximation taking into account the invalidity of the impulse approximation for the most tightly bound (ie 1s) electrons when completing an X-ray profile measurement. The theoretical profiles are in good agreement with the (renormalized) experimental profiles, especially at low momentum values.
