A Strong 350-MICRON Source in the Ophiuchus Dark Cloud
Abstract
A very strong and extended far-infrared source has been detected in the Ophiuchus dark cloud in the region of strong molecular ersission discovered by Encrenaz. The far-infrared molecular source is apparently the central condensation of the cloud, and is also the region where Grasdalen et at. have found evidence of very recent star formation. This source appears to be very similar to the far-infrared molecular source in Orion. Subject headings:infrared sources - interstellar matter - star formation
