Abstract

The resonance parameters of χc0, the 1P03 resonance of charmonium, have been measured at the Fermilab Antiproton Accumulator by means of the reaction p¯pχc0γJ/ψγ(e+e). The results are M(χc0)=3417.41.9+1.8±0.2MeV/c2, Γ(χc0)=16.63.7+5.2±0.1MeV, and Γ(χc0p¯p)×B(χc0J/ψγ)×B(J/ψe+e)=2.890.53+0.67±0.14eV. Using known branching ratios we also obtain Γ(χc0p¯p)=8.01.51.9+1.9+3.5keV. These results are discussed in relation to the other χcJ states and to theoretical predictions.
