Optical properties of heated Ag films

Abstract

We have experimentally measured the angular, wavelength, and polarization dependence in the optical absorbance of thin (≅ 5 nm) Ag films. The experimental results are compared to theoretical predictions from classical dipole scattering and absorption for oblate spheroidal geometries.
