Abstract
Annual erosion losses from 135 experimental plots under a variety of soil types, vegetation cover densities and conservation practices in Iraq have been measured over a period of four years. The first three years of this data set demonstrate that annual erosion losses can be predicted from annual rainfall depths. The results obtained from regression analysis were then validated with the fourth year of soil erosion data. These results corroborate the theoretical findings of the companion paper in that long term erosion losses can be predicted from the total amount of rainfall.
