Abstract.

The present paper is devoted to experimental and theoretical investigation of the shock wave (SW) propagation in a mixture of gas and solid particles in the presence of explicit boundaries of the two-phase region (cloud of particles). The effect of the qualitative change in the supersonic flow behind the SW in a cloud of particles within the range of the volume concentration of the disperse phase 0.1-3% is experimentally shown and theoretically grounded.
