Abstract

The possibility of determining the moment of laminar-turbulent transition under real conditions of hypersonic flight in the earth's atmosphere on the basis of an analysis of the body radiation as a function of flight altitude is discussed. The simple method of detecting the moment of laminar-turbulent transition using the difference between turbulent and laminar heat flow is justified.
