Study on the water resistance of plywood bonded with UF-glutaraldehyde adhesive

Abstract

A UF-glutaraldehyde adhesive system was used for the preparation of three-ply plywood. It was shown that 10 wt % content of the modifier markedly improves the durability of the plywood in water. The obtained wet shear strengths are comparable to those of dry plywood.
