Summary
The principal advantages of combination of fluorescence scanning from far side and near side of TLC, simultaneous measurement, are discussed. The linear relationship between signal and concentration for simultaneous measurement was established, the theoretical curves for fluorescence measurement from far and near side were calculated and compared with experimental values. The possibility of wider concentration range for analysis is shown. Normalization factors for ergot alkaloids were tested on specially prepared standards and corrected. The invalidity of Van Urk colour reaction for isoalkaloids is shown.
