Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

A compact combined centrifugal-electrical dust collecter is developed for fine gas cleaning (electrocyclone) based on an efficient direct-flow cyclone. The marked advantage of a direct-flow cyclone compared with similar counterflow equipment is demonstrated, and the considerable potential of ENVGK type cyclones is concluded with their use in industrial dust collecting systems and fine cleaning of exhaust gases.
