Abstract

A simple expression for the fission width of excited nuclei with the fission barrier dependent on excitation energy is obtained. This fission width is larger than the one obtained with the help of the energy-independent fission barrier. The ratio of fission widths evaluated with and without the energy-dependent fission barrier has the maximum at excitation energy close to 40MeV. The dependence of the fission barrier on the excitation energy is discussed.
