Abstract

The shell effects in multinucleon transfer process are investigated in the systems Xe136 + Pt198 and Xe136 + Pb208 within the dinuclear system (DNS) model. The temperature dependence of shell corrections on potential energy surface is taken into account in the DNS model and remarkable improvement for description of experimental data is noticed. The reactions Xe136 + W186 and Nd150 + W186 are also studied. It is found that due to shell effects the projectile Nd150 is more promising for producing transtarget nuclei rather than Xe136 with neutron shell closure.
