Abstract
CONSIDERING the amount of work that has been done concerning the uranium content of oceanic waters, remarkably few data can be found for the Antarctic Ocean compared with the North Pacific, the North Atlantic and the Indian Oceans1–5. It is possible the Antarctic waters might have a considerable interchange with the deep waters of the Atlantic and the Pacific. Information about the distribution of uranium in Antarctic waters might, therefore, contribute significantly to knowledge of oceanic circulation.
