Experimental observation of Abraham force in a dielectric

Abstract

MINKOWSKI'S momentum–energy tensor1 for material media was severely criticised by Einstein and Laub2. The density force on matter according to these authors is: with D0E+P, B = μ0H+M and using SI units.
