Abstract
THE nuclear masses of the elements between neon and silicon in the Periodic Table are known with much less accuracy than those of lighter elements. In order to check the values given in the most recently published tables1, we have studied the emission of protons from magnesium and aluminium under deuteron bombardment at 900 kV. The protons were observed at right angles to the deuteron beam: the experimental technique employed has already been described2.
