Abstract
I AM indebted to Mr. Haigh and Dr. Salem for pointing out the mistake in my communication. They correctly state that Eπxx → ∞ as n → ∞, and that the infinite heterocyclic ring can have, respectively, equal or unequal bond-lengths depending on whether δ is greater or smaller than a critical value.
