Abstract
SOME time ago, there was a discussion1 between E. T. Paris and Heyl concerning the dependence of the absorption of sound upon the angle of incidence, which, however, produced no solution to the problem. Since for many practical purposes dependence of absorption upon angle and frequency is very important, investigations have been undertaken in this direction, which confirm qualitatively the angle theory of Rayleigh and Paris and a frequency theory proposed by us.
